Investing in nature is one of the most cost-effective and inclusive ways to protect people, infrastructure and economies from climate change, according to a new report from the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA). The report shows that well-designed nature-based solutions (NbS) can deliver benefit–cost ratios of between 2:1 and 8:1, yet remain chronically underfunded due to gaps in standardized valuation, financing structures and investment pipelines.
