Addressing insurability: A playbook for investing in place-based resilience

This playbook explores how coalitions of local government, businesses, investors, insurers and communities can manage physical risk to improve their resilience and insurability in the face of increasing extreme weather events. As extreme weather risks intensify, the availability of adequate and affordable insurance is under growing pressure. Insurability is increasingly shaped not only by the resilience of individual assets, but by the resilience of the places and systems around them.
