China Red Cross to spend 47.97 million USD in South Western quake zone
The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) will allocate 300 million yuan (47.97 million U.S. dollars) for the reconstruction of Ludian County in Yunnan Province. The resources are geared towards enhancing the disaster resilience of communities, the RCSC said, according to an article by Xinhua News Agency.
It has signed a memorandum with the Yunnan provincial government to help with the rebuilding of public infrastructure, including education and health facilities, as well as the reconstruction of private houses.
