Algeria National Platform

The National Platform for DRR in Algeria corresponds to a multisectoral institutional coordination mechanism for disaster risk reduction, led by the National Delegation for Major Risks (DNRM). 

This DNRM was established by Decree No. 11-194 of 22 May 2011, under the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Land Use Planning (MICLAT). 

The DNRM serves as the national multisectoral platform for DRR, bringing together various ministries, civil protection agencies, NGOs, humanitarian organizations, and other stakeholders. 

The platform is intended to operate through an intersectoral national committee, and equivalent structures at regional (wilaya) and local (commune / municipality) levels are envisaged.
