Observando o Dia Estadual da Redução de Riscos de Desastres do Rio de Janeiro, alunos de 14 escolas municipais de Nova Iguaçu participaram de um grande exercício de desocupação de emergência das unidades de ensino. A simulação envolveu 5.501 pessoas, sendo 4.974 estudantes e 527 funcionários, para garantir segurança durante os incêndios.

Na cidade de Nova Iguaçu (RJ) mais de 1700 alunos participaram do exercício simulado de incêndio, que faz parte do Projeto Escolas Seguras – Desenvolvendo a Resiliência Através da Educação. No exercício, após um alarme ser disparado devido a um suposto incêndio, todos saíram da unidade conforme protocolo ensinado em um tempo pré-determinado.
