Brief introduction
Disasters still happen worldwide amidst the current pandemic and the climate emergency. The recent volcanic eruption in Tonga, one- in-a-100-year flood in Malaysia, and Super Typhoon Rai in the Philippines are just some testaments to this worrying trend. As suggested by the Sendai Framework, we might need to elevate the spirit of global cooperation to a whole new level. With extensive experience in responding to disasters, Indonesia could play such strategic roles at this critical juncture.
