About

This seminar's primary objective is to enhance preparedness and resilience at local, national, and EU levels. This involves improving disaster risk management governance, developing early warning systems, and ensuring effective risk communication. The seminar will explore pathways to a more resilient EU, especially concerning climate and disaster risks, and will co-design solutions to implement the EU's disaster resilience agenda.

  • The event will be held in person in Brussels for a limited number of participants.
  • Registration for in-person attendance closes on 31st October 2023.
  • Those unable to attend in person can follow the main sessions via web stream.

  • Tuesday 21 November 2023: 7th Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre (DRMKC) Annual Seminar 'Moving knowledge into action: a Roadmap to Disaster Resilience' jointly organized by JRC and DG ECHO in the framework of the Science pillar of the Union Civil Protection Knowledge Network.   • Wednesday 22 November 2023: Wildfire Risk Management Project Clustering Event 2023 organised by European Research Executive Agency (REA) together with the project Firelogue, an EU Coordination and Support Action aiming to unite fire-related projects and to exploit their synergies.
