Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Outbreak Readiness
About
The goal of the training is to strengthen RCCE leadership and readiness to prepare for and deliver participatory, community-led responses to large-scale outbreaks in humanitarian settings, and to facilitate behavior change with data-driven communication.
The five-day RCCE training will be from February 17 - 21, 2025 in Karachi, Pakistan. Before the in-person training begins, participants will be required to complete two 90-minute online (eLearning) courses on the fundamentals of infectious disease outbreaks and RCCE.
This training is designed for national-level NGOs or small, international NGOs that are operating in Pakistan; government and UN representatives are also encouraged to apply.
Priority audiences include individuals with:
- Current or future roles in planning, managing, and/or executing communication, behavior change and/or community engagement readiness and response to large-scale outbreaks in Pakistan.
- Experience working in a humanitarian and public health response and motivation to increase capacity in these areas.
Mandatory
- Ability to commit to completing two online (eLearning) courses and attending 5 days of in-person sessions
- Ability to participate in written and spoken English
