Organizer(s) Anticipation Hub Federal Foreign Office
Date

The Anticipation Hub (an initiative of the German Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies) and the German Federal Foreign Office are pleased to invite you to the launch of the “Anticipatory Action in 2022: a global overview” report.

Published by the Anticipation Hub in partnership with FAO, OCHA, WFP, START Network and Welthungerhilfe, the report documents the global scale and impact of anticipatory action supported by more than 50 organizations worldwide.

The report provides practitioners, scientists, and policymakers with an evidence-based snapshot of the current state of anticipatory action around the world and a top-line analysis of operational trends, developments and gaps, based on AA programs and projects. The report is based on the Anticipation Hub’s data collection effort in 2022.

The launch event engages senior representatives from humanitarian organizations and governments in highlighting key themes covered in the report. It serves to amplify the voices of people affected by predictable hazards, raise awareness of the potential of anticipatory action and highlight progress, challenges and gaps around the scaling up anticipatory action and encourages to coordinate and collaborate across sectors and agencies to create a safer world.
