Organized by the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction Secretariat for Central Asia (UNISDR), the Regional Conference on Seismic Risk Reduction is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Hoit earthquake.
The goal of the conference is to discuss existing problems in the field of seismic risk reduction in the Central Asian region and propose concrete steps to address them, based on existing best practices and wide cooperation between national, regional and international organizations.
