Preparedness plan exercise with local communities from Lisbon Municipality

This exercise will be carried out with the local population called ‘local civil protection volunteers’. The volunteers will participate in a training programme, developed by Civil Protection Department with the aim of being prepared and organized, in direct coordination with local mayors, to help following a catastrophe, before the first intervention forces arrive, in the affected areas.

The chosen scenario is an earthquake, with losses and the need for people to be evacuated to a meeting point. This exercise will be repeated on 16th October with another four local communities in the city.
