About
UNDRR invites national counterparts from the Europe and Central Asia region to the first session of the Peer Learning Sessions on Data Management, focusing on Sendai Framework Monitoring.
The session will provide an overview of current reporting trends and progress under the Sendai Framework Monitor (SFM), while creating a space for national focal points to exchange experiences, challenges and good practices.
Peer-learning contributions from Georgia, Croatia and the United Kingdom will showcase different approaches to SFM reporting, data governance and national data pipelines. The session will conclude with an open discussion and Q&A.
Timely, robust and validated disaster risk and loss data are essential for tracking progress towards the Sendai Framework targets, informing policy and investment decisions, and supporting progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Monitoring Target G is also increasingly important as countries advance implementation of Early Warnings for All.
