International earthquake symposium Kocaeli 2007

Symposium objectives are:
- to present current status of research focusing on the earthquake phenomena, earthquake risks and its overall effects to the human life and structures in Turkey and the surrounding regions, and to implement engineering applications in the fields of Geology, Geophysics, Geodesy and Geo-information, Civil and Earthquake Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, City Planning, Economics, Social Sciences, Law, Rescue and Search, Disaster Management and Medicines;
- to encourage discussions on these topics among active researchers worldwide;
- to provide an overview of research currently being undertaken in the Faculty of Engineering of Kocaeli University among other institutions.
