International day for disaster reduction - Dushanbe, Tajikistan

The United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) office in Central Asia and Caucasus together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Tajikistan is planning to celebrate the International day for disaster reduction by organizing several campaigns on this day. The campaign will consist of several activities devoted to disaster management issues:

• Radio panel quiz games;
• Cross-word and quizzes on local newspapers;
• Short social animations on electronic billboards mounted in the city;
• Secretary General’s message on the event to be translated and broadcast over national radio channels;
• Interviews with DRR programme managers of international organizations working in Tajikistan.
