The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) is pleased to invite you to its third interdisciplinary conference on internal displacement, taking place from 10:00 to 17:00 CET, on 24 October 2022, at the Varembé Conference Center in Geneva, Switzerland. Postponed for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s conference will bring together humanitarian and development practitioners, policymakers and donors to explore new insights and successful approaches in the prevention of and solutions to disaster displacement.
The conference will highlight progress made on enhancing understanding of the drivers, impacts and risks of disaster displacement, showcase good practices that have led to positive outcomes and draw attention to gaps that still need to be addressed. IDMC will also present its first-ever report on disaster-related internal displacement in the Asia Pacific region, published in partnership with the Asian Development Bank. The presentation of the report will include a panel discussion.
