Intergovernmental Negotiations on Post-2015 Development Agenda - Seventh and Eighth Sessions

The seventh and eighth sessions of the intergovernmental negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda will take place back-to-back from 20-31 July 2015. The sessions are both scheduled to focus on negotiating the outcome document of the September 2015 summit to adopt the post-2015 development agenda.

In these session disaster risk reduction is seen as an integral part of social and economic development, and is essential if development is to be sustainable for the future. Making development sustainable requires addressing natural hazard risk and vulnerability in development plans.
