The Bali Agenda for Resilience, as the outcome document of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, was formulated to help accelerate the realization and achievements of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) 2015-2030.

The introductory session of the Bali Agenda for Resilience took note of the President of Indonesia’s statement on the sustainable resilience concept. As the host of the Platform, the President encouraged the international community to enhance cooperation in disaster-risk management through collaboration towards sustainable resilience based on the principles of strengthened risk-reduction culture and education; investment in science, technology, and innovation; climate and disaster-resilient infrastructure; and implementation of global commitments.

The National Disaster Management Authority of Indonesia (BNPB) is  hosting the first Global Forum for Sustainable Resilience (GFSR) on March 2-3, 2023. Jointly convened with PT Expoindo Kayanna Mandiri, the GFSR will be held at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, and consist of three moderated sessions. This Forum will also serve as part of the 2nd Asia Disaster Management and Civil Protection Expo and Conference (ADEXCO).

The Forum will be conducted in a hybrid format and is free of charge.
