Evidence for Climate Action (E4CA) Pavilion
Evidence for Climate Action (E4CA) Pavilion at COP30
The Evidence for Climate Action (E4CA) Pavilion at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, will be the first dedicated space at a COP to showcase and discuss evaluative evidence on climate mitigation, adaptation, just transitions, and loss and damage. The pavilion seeks to bridge the gaps between climate finance, implementation, and measurable outcomes.
Supported by the Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) function of the AfDB and a broad coalition of evaluation offices and development partners, the pavilion will be coordinated by the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval). Through this partnership, IDEV will contribute evidence from its evaluations of the Bank's support to renewable energy, green growth, and climate resilience, to deepen understanding of what works, what doesn't, and why.
Bringing together evaluators, researchers, policymakers, and development partners, the Pavilion will facilitate the exchange of credible evidence, lessons, and innovations through dialogue, interactive sessions, and access to knowledge products - helping to shift global climate discussions from commitments to concrete, evidence-based solutions that deliver impact on the ground.
IDEV's engagement in the E4CA Pavilion will strengthen the Bank Group's presence in global climate dialogues by amplifying African perspectives, fostering collaboration with other evaluation institutions, and demonstrating how evidence can translate climate commitments into effective, equitable, and transformative action.
