About

Many countries in the UNECE region are increasingly affected by natural disasters, with severe impacts on communities, economies and the environment. To support better preparedness and resilience, the UNECE Working Party on Land Administration (WPLA), in collaboration with Germany, Italy and the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), is organizing a webinar on disaster risk reduction through effective geospatial information management and land administration.

The webinar will showcase country case studies, including experiences with integrating geospatial and land administration data, and will highlight how such approaches can strengthen risk assessment, planning and response capacities. Participants will gain practical insights into tools, institutional arrangements and lessons learned that can inform disaster risk reduction efforts in the UNECE region and beyond.
