Course Overview
The course focuses on leveraging modern technology, such as GIS, remote sensing, AI, and mobile applications, to improve real-time data collection, analysis, visualization, and communication for more effective disaster response and planning.
Course Objectives
By the end of this five-day intensive program, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate and Select appropriate digital technologies (AI, IoT, and Remote Sensing) for different stages of the disaster management cycle.
- Design and Implement streamlined data collection workflows using mobile applications and crowdsourcing platforms.
- Perform Advanced Geospatial Analysis using GIS and satellite imagery to map hazards and assess post-disaster damage.
- Develop Interactive Dashboards for real-time data visualization to support executive decision-making during emergencies.
- Address Ethical Considerations, including data privacy, security, and the digital divide in disaster response.
