About

The UK is “built for a climate that no longer exists” – and adaptation cannot wait. These stark warnings from the Climate Change Committee’s recent report came just before unprecedented May heatwaves across the country, bringing this reality into sharp focus.

People are rightly worried about how unprepared we are for the accelerating impacts of climate change. So how do we tell the story of a hopeful, resilient future to help build support for the solutions we now need to implement at scale?

Join us on 16 July 11am- 12pm as we share insights from our latest research, in partnership with MACC Hub.

You will discover:

  • How people across the UK view climate impacts in their local area—and what they want a well-adapted future to look like.
  • Current sentiment on adaptation actions, and who should implement them.
  • How to talk about adaptation in a positive light to bring people along with you – including what works and what backfires.

You’ll hear from experts at Climate Outreach, MACC Hub, and the Climate Change Committee (line-up to be confirmed)
