About:

This event is for newcomers to anticipatory action. What is the definition of a trigger again? And how to develop early actions? What are the key elements of anticipatory action? When does anticipatory action end and where does response start? In this session we will bring everybody up to speed regarding anticipatory action in preparation of three days of anticipatory action talk at the 11th Global Dialogue Platform happening October 10 - 12. We will walk you through the concept of anticipatory action: why we do it, how we do it, when we do it and with whom?! It will be an interactive session that includes examples, small exercises and time for reflection and your questions. Don’t be shy, this session is the space to get to know anticipatory action and ask all your questions!

Presented by Karen Dall, Technical manager Forecast based Financing, German Red Cross

We offer two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon CEST time, which can be joined independently and have the same content. See our event page for more details.
