Thank you so much for your interest in the 48th Annual Natural Hazards Workshop. Registration is now open! Please read the information below and click the blue button to register for the Natural Hazards Workshop, Researchers Meeting, and Practitioners Meeting, add-on events, and meals. Registrations for all three meetings are separate, but submitted on the same form.

Registration Information

All participants, including those listed on the program, must register for the meeting or meetings that they will attend.

The registration fee covers materials, facilities, receptions, and coffee breaks. You'll have the opportunity to purchase meals, the annual barbecue, and any additional events when registering. The Natural Hazards Workshop is capped at 650 registrants. This is due to space limitations and also to maintain the character of the meeting. We will close registration when we reach the cap, so please register as early as possible!

  • All Workshop sessions will be held in person at the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield, Colorado. We are providing a live streaming option for the keynote and plenary sessions for those who cannot attend in person. All speakers and presenters must attend in person as cost constraints unfortunately will not allow for virtual presentations.
  • All Workshop speakers will receive a discount code for $50 off general registration. If you have already registered, you will be able to log back into your registration form and apply the code for a refund. If you do not see a speaker discount applied, please contact the CU Conference Services team at conferences@colorado.edu.
  • We’re sorry, but we cannot offer speaker discounts to Workshop Poster Session presenters, Researchers Meeting participants, or Practitioners Meeting panelists.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

We are so excited to return to an in-person Natural Hazards Workshop and to co-host associated add-on meetings in July of 2023! Please know that while we are thrilled at the prospect of gathering together, our top priority is to keep all members of our hazards and disaster community safe. Therefore, we will follow University of Colorado and Boulder County public health guidance and policies related to COVID-19.
