The theme of the Conference is “The Changing Landscape of Comprehensive Disaster Management – Vision Becoming Reality”.

This Annual Conference is being positioned as the Caribbean signature disaster management forum for reflection, dialoguing and measuring progress in the region within the context of the Enhanced Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) Strategy.

CDM is the regional contribution to the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015, a blue print for global action in Disaster Risk Reduction. In that regard the Conference will be an International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) global platform event and will promote good practice, share ongoing research, chart the way forward and facilitate networking among disaster management associated professionals.
The Conference is being organized by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency (CDERA) in association with its Partners and will be held at the Hilton Barbados, Needhams Point, Barbados.
