The theme of this year's symposium is 'From grassroots to global: Reducing disaster losses through mitigation and adaptation.' The symposium is designed to provide insight into best practices for mitigation. The program sessions will focus on fresh perspectives, broad visions, and inclusive management techniques that are fundamentally changing communities at home and abroad in terms of hazard mitigation and reducing risk.
