Disaster risk management is a sector that has more than 50 years of existence. It has allowed for both the creation of new professions such as disaster risk managers as well as the adaptation of existing ones in other sectors such as urban planning or insurance.

PreventionWeb, in tune with the latest developments in the field, seeks to assist these new trends, and bring more information about these new careers in resilience to the global disaster risk reduction community.
