UPAG is committed to incorporating disaster risk reduction and resilience building in urban planning policy, practice, and research.
The Scientific and Technical Advisory Group (STAG) in line with the Science and Technology Roadmap supported the implementation of the SFDRR. We aimed at fostering stronger partnerships along with clear strategies among the scientific and technology community.

The Global Centre for Disaster Statistics (GCDS) aims to support the monitoring and evaluation of progress in the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, in its seven global targets.
