Call for reviewers - International Journal of Disaster Resilience in the Built Environment

Source(s): School of the Built Environment, University of Salford

The co-editors of the International Journal of Disaster Resilience in the Built Environment (IJDRBE), Professor Dilanthi Amaratunga and Dr Richard Haigh, invite reviewers to review articles for their journal.

IJDRBE examines the role of the built environment in reconstructing, rehabilitating and mitigating the effects of disasters. The journal develops the skills and knowledge the built environment industry needs to help us understand how the built environment directly impacts the effects of disasters. For more information and details on the full coverage of IJDRBE please visit the journal website: http://www.emeraldinsight.com/ijdrbe.htm.

Reviewers with expertise in any fields related to disaster risk reduction and reconstruction are welcomed. However, there is an urgent need for reviewer expertise in the following areas:

• Seismic engineering
• Law and regulatory frameworks
• Retrofitting
• Damage assessment
• Floods
• Risk analysis
• Shelter
• Environmental impact assessment

Please contact the co-editors, with details of your experience and research interests, if you are interested in reviewing for the journal:

Dr Richard Haigh: r.p.haigh@salford.ac.uk

As one of our reviewers said very well – “I learn a great deal from reviewing!” – reviewing gives you access to the most current research methods and findings and is a good opportunity to get involved in the journal’s success.
