According to News Today, a US$ 184 million World Bank funded initiative is collectively being implemented by several Ministries of Bangladesh as part of the Emergency 2007 Cyclone Recovery and Restoration Project (ECRRP). The project is facilitating restoration of agriculture and infrastructure in cyclone affected areas, including the reconstruction of shelters and coastal embankments with better designs. It is also supporting the preparation and implementation of the first phase of a fifteen year government program for disaster risk reduction.
