US: Study on how Gulf and East Coast residents respond to hurricane evacuation warnings

Source(s):  Colorado State University (CSU)

Researchers at Colorado State University conduct a three-year study on risk perception in the context of natural hazards to get a better understanding of residents’ interpretation of hurricane risk, decisions regarding evacuation, and climate change perceptions as related to hurricanes, as well as to help meteorologists and emergency managers communicate warnings more effectively in disaster situations.
