Disaster risk management for communities
This policy, from an evolved humanitarian perspective, outlines the current and likely future dynamics of disaster risk, the commitment of Action Contre la Faim (ACF) for disaster risk management in communities and how to make this practice sustainable within ACF, via an institutional strategy.
This policy was written bearing in mind the increasing numbers of people suffering from the effects of disaster and undernutrition, and asserts that their causes are increasingly linked. Other man-made threats and global processes, such as climate change amplify these effects.
