"Some of the major questions I posed to myself are: How does climate change affect different vulnerable groups, including women, men, children, and sociocultural dynamics; how do we “sustainably” manage critical resources which are increasingly becoming scarce, and how do these management schemes mediate access and power; what kinds of development investment are needed to support a green, equitable economy? I guess the answer is that gender and land administration are parts of a bigger development universe, with climate change as a critical driver," said Kathlyn Kissy Sumaylo, climate change adaptation project coordinator for the World Food Program in the Philippines in an interview with Devex. Ms Sumaylo added that in November at COP19 in Warsaw, "It can't be business as usual anymore" when addressing the issue of funding for loss and damage due to climate change.
