Encuesta Cooperativa: Onemi y SHOA 'muy bien' evaluados tras el terremoto en Chile
Onemi and SHOA, the chilean agencies responsible for alerting the population in a disaster, were "very well" evaluated on their reaction after the 8.4 Richter earthquake and tsunami that occurred on September 16 in northern Chile.
This was revealed by the latest survey carried out by Radio Cooperativa, Imaginacción and Universidad Central on the reaction of the authorities in the largest magnitude earthquake in 2015.
70.4 percent of respondents felt that the performance of the National Emergency Office (ONEMI) was "very good", while 82.3 percent noted positively the act of the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy (SHOA).
The poll also looked at the performance of President Michelle Bachelet and her government after the earthquake. Thus, 45.3 percent felt that their reaction was "good to very good". 32.1 percent called it "regular".

La Onemi y el SHOA, los organismos responsables de alertar a la población en medio de catástrofes, fueron "muy bien" evaluados en su reacción tras el terremoto de 8,4 Richter y posterior tsunami ocurrido el 16 de septiembre en el norte chico, ha informado Radio Cooperativa.
Así lo reveló la última encuesta realizada por Radio Cooperativa, Imaginacción y la Universidad Central sobre la reacción de las autoridades del que es hasta hoy el terremoto de mayor magnitud en lo que va de 2015 en el mundo.
El 70,4 por ciento de los encuestados consideró que el desempeño de la Oficina Nacional de Emergencia (Onemi) fue "muy bueno", mientras que el 82,3 por ciento resaltó de manera positiva el actuar del Servicio Hidrográfico y Oceanográfico de la Armada (SHOA).
