AGSE 2017: 8th International Summer School and Conference - Applied Geoinformatics for Society and Environment
The eighth AGSE summer school and conference will be held April 29- May 04, 2017 on Kish Island, Iran. The conference offers an interdisciplinary, international forum for sharing knowledge about the science and application of Geoinformatics with a focus on developing countries. This year's theme is "Crisis and Disaster Management" with a focus on the contribution of Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, and Planning to preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation of disasters.
AGSE conferences provide a strong basis for collaboration between alumni, researchers, developers, users, and practitioners carrying out research and development in the geospatial and the free and open source fields.There will as well professional training and workshops about current topics in the fields of Geoinformatics and Photogrammetry related to disaster management and rapid mapping.
