Climate conversations - Shelter from the storm?

The effects of climate change - such as rising sea levels, heavier floods, more frequent and severe storms, drought and desertification - may cause large-scale population movements, warned several groups, including the UN. According to AlertNet, a treaty for climate change displaced persons (CCDPs) might help to solve the problem and can be described as 'anticipatory adaptation.' Displacement could also be viewed as a form of adaptation that creates particular local vulnerabilities requiring assistance (and protection) through international cooperation.
