Brunei: Officers learn effective skills in managing natural disasters

The National Disaster Management Centre and the Asian Disaster Reduction Centre (ADRC) organised a programme beginning this week entitled "Asean Cooperation Project: Training for Trainers" to build the capacity of senior officers in various sectors in the field of disaster management.

Among the issues discussed during the three day programme were hazards and disaster mapping, business continuity plan and introduction to the Hyogo Framework for Action. Through this programme, trainers will conduct activities relating to disaster management reduction at the national level where they will carry out risks and disaster mappings at two villages in Tutong.
