Pace University, the Center for Homeland Defense & Security and key stakeholders from the public and private sector will have a vibrant and productive discussion to address the following pressing issues:

- If disaster strikes, what is the best way to rebuild communities, reinforce infrastructure, and keep business running smoothly?
- Where do the government and private sector converge and collide throughout this process?
- Where do each sector’s responsibilities lie in the quest for resiliency?

The sumbit will include the following panels:

Panel 1 – Private Sector Challenges and Opportunities
Panel 2 – Public Sector Approaches
Panel 3 - Public-Private Partnerships: The Secret to Success

The opening address will be made by Margareta Wahlström, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction, United Nations.
