Call for Consultancy: Curating Urban Resilience Processes and Tools

The International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent (IFRC) has started implementation of a five-year (2022-2027) Coastal City Resilience and Extreme Heat Action Project (CoCHAP) in Collaboration with the Global Disaster Preparedness Center (GDPC) of the American Red Cross, the RCRC Climate Center, and partner RCRC National Societies of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Honduras, and Tanzania. However, CoCHAP is far from being the only urban programming across the IFRC Network. As the disasters faced by communities, particularly related to climate change (e.g. floods and heatwaves) increases, the NS are also increasingly embarking on urban interventions across the disaster management continuum.

American Red Cross on behalf of IFRC is launching this consultancy to curate RCRC urban resilience programming processes and tools, as well as identifying the gaps. The overarching aim of this consultancy service is to increase the capacity of the RCRC national societies to design and implement impactful programs and projects in urban contexts, through curating urban resiliency programming processes and tools.
