Description
This programme is designed to provide an educational foundation for those who are currently serving or aspire to serve as managers or administrators in fire services or emergency management. FEMP is NOT a distance program, but has options that allow students to complete their degree with limited attendance during one week long seminars on the Stillwater campus.

Admission requirement
The applicants should have significant practical experience in a fire and emergency management career (as determined by the Director of the Fire and Emergency Management Administration Program); or have an undergraduate degree in fire and emergency management related discipline; or in case of not meeting the criteria specified in 1 or 2 above, agree to undertake requisite coursework in fire and emergency management. Anyone having a bachelor's degree with an overall 3.0 grade point average (4.0 scale) or better will be admitted as a student in full standing. Those with less than an overall 3.0 grade point average may be considered for admission on a conditional or probationary basis. TOEFL results for students for whom English is a second language. Students must have a score above 549 (paper exam) or 213 (computer) to be considered for admission. For further details please see admission section.
