Djibouti: Regional risk profiles

This report presents risk assessment results for the regions of Djibouti. Regarding the region of Ali Sabieh, environmental stressors such as the depletion or contamination of natural resources can exacerbate natural hazards and negatively impact the health safety and economic security of the population.

With regard to the region of Arta, the changing frequency and intensity of disasters can expose the entire food system to supply chain disruptions. Building more resilient and climate-friendly local agricultural systems through training of farmers in sustainable practices and improving efficiencies in food marketing, storage, delivery and waste management can improve the nutrition and food security of present and future generations.
