Climate risk adaptation and insurance in the Caribbean

This brochure presents the products combining risk reduction and insurance for low income groups such as small-holding farmers and day labourers that will be designed and implemented by the Climate Risk Adaptation and Insurance in the Caribbean programme. It targets medium-level weather extremes (e.g. hurricanes and droughts) through five goals: (i) helping vulnerable people adapt to extreme weather events; (ii) unlocking development potential in the Caribbean; (iii) overcoming barriers to risk reduction and transfer; (iv) expanding access to new market segments; (v) sharing learning with the policy community.
