This manual contains details about the most common non-structural hazards found on Bhutan's school premises, and has provided guidance on the mitigation of these hazards.
The purpose of this plan is to ensure that Thimphu Thromde and its partners will be able to deliver prompt, effective and appropriate responses in the aftermath of an earthquake and effectively manage potential humanitarian impacts.
The Disaster Risk Management Strategy, (DMSF) is formulated as mandated under clause 11 of the Disaster Management Act of Bhutan 2013and is guided by the Five Year Planning process.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
