Según La Prensa los trabajos de prevención comenzaron en octubre y seguirán para evitar desastres. El responsable de esa unidad edil, Carlos García, informó que estos trabajos de prevención comenzaron en octubre y 'se los realiza con el fin de que en época de lluvias no tengamos un excesivo arrastre de material y basura que pueda llegar a taponar las bóvedas y provocar inundaciones.'
