Final deadline to submit a visa application

If you are planning to attend the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Geneva, Switzerland you may be required to apply for a visa to enter the country. As the processing of visas will take at least three weeks, the organizers of the Global Platform recommend that you submit a visa application by May 1st at the latest. Swiss authorities have informed the organizers that any applications received after May 1st will be difficult to process in time for the Global Platform.

Please consult this list in order to know which Embassy or Consulate General is responsible for handling your visa application in your country of residence. There might be some countries where there is no Swiss representation. In this case, the visa request might have to be lodged in another country where the competent representation is located.
