AIDF Asia: Aid and Response Summit 2015
Gathering 250+ humanitarian and development professionals from regional governments, UN agencies, NGOs, development banks and private sector, the AIDF Asia Summit 2016 will look at how technological innovations improve aid and development work in South East Asia.
The Summit will focus on ensuring more effective aid delivery, building disaster resilience through technological innovations and community engagement, as well as improving humanitarian operations and logistics, and new solutions for regional health and WASH programmes.
Adesh Tripathee, Disaster Risk Reduction and Mitigation Specialist in Asia-Pacific, Habitat for Humanity International and Tom Cornell, Managing Director - South East Asia, JCB will discuss Post-Disaster Management and Building Resilience, specifically looking into debris management and evaluation of loss and damage, building and improving community resilience and best practice in building effective and sustainable partnerships that meet their goals.
AIDF Asia Summit will aso feature a dedicated session on lessons learnt from Nepal, moderated by Yuan-Kwan Chan, Editor, ReliefWeb. Brian Kelly, Regional Advisor for Asia and the Pacific, Emergency and Post-Crisis Unit, International Organization for Migration (IOM), Mona Laczo, Country Director Nepal, BBC Media Action and Brabim Kumar, President, Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON) will take part in this discussion.
