Can a Europe-wide model be used to inform decision making at the national or local level, and with what level of certainty? What is the minimum level of “resolution” required to “trust” a model output? In other words, “how much is enough”?
In this study, the interannual and decadal variability of seven indices of heatwaves were investigated during the warmest period of the year by using an enhanced resolution reanalysis model over a 71-year period (1950–2020) for the area of Greece.
