Consultation Process
The consultation process will employ a participatory and inclusive approach through:
- Organizing consultative meetings at regional and global platforms for disaster risk reduction
- Facilitating online discussions
- Consulting with the Advisory Group
- Encouraging and participating in national and thematic consultations
- Linking ongoing major international processes such as Rio+20, the post-2015 development agenda, and the UN Climate Change Conferences (COPs)
- Refering to reports and monitoring of the existing Hyogo Framework of Action to identify progress and challenges

Hosting a Consultation and Discussion
A range of partners and stakeholders are committed to reducing the risks and impacts of disasters and building community resilience. The consultations around a post-2015 framework will harness ideas from stakeholders including national and local governments, interest groups and community practitioners, NGOs, parliamentarians, academics, science and technology institutions, the private sector and media, international agencies and regional intergovernmental bodies.
