The presentation describes the Periperi U consortium achievements across the African continent. PeriPeri U is an innovative initiative to ‘jump-start’ cross-disciplinary DRR scholarship in Africa, involving ten universities in different countries. This academic partnership is crucial in terms of building a culture of DRR in Africa and has potential for duplication in other regions of the world.
