Description
The consultation meeting is aimed at providing representatives from the IGO´s and country delegations in the Americas with guidance on the sessions organized during the Fourth Session of The Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction. The meeting will introduce focal points from the UNISDR Regional Office - The Americas, who will support the delegations during the Global Platform. To ensure a 'common voice' of member states of the Americas, main results of the Americas Regional Platform for DRR will be presented.
Expected Outcomes
- Orientation of delegates on main messages that came out of the Americas Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction.
- Coordination among delegations and exchange of information.
- Discussion on regional representation during key sessions of the Global Platform.
