Organizer(s) Capacity for Disaster Reduction Initiative
Venue
CICG Room 7/8
Date

The session organized by the CADRI Partnership for the 2018 Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) aims to explore the emerging needs for preparedness capacity development as a means of raising awareness that increased prioritization and investment is still required to turn commitments into action.

The objectives of the session can thus be summarised as follows:

  • Highlight emergency preparedness capacity development needs and requirements by countries;
  • Raise awareness of the emergency preparedness capacity development services available from the CADRI Partnership, including from the UNDAC network, to potential interested countries;
  • Share lessons learned by the CADRI Partnership from supporting countries on preparedness capacity development;
  • Inform future CADRI Partnership offer and delivery of capacity development services in line with the expressed needs.
